New Holland has announced that every model in its T6000 and T7000 tractor range will now be supplied with a Bluetooth RDS radio and MP3 player as standard.

With tractors spending many hours carrying out haulage tasks on the public roads, the ability to use a mobile phone ‘hands free’ is now just as important in a tractor as it is in a car.

Any mobile phone with Bluetooth connectivity can be easily and quickly paired to the New Holland radio. Calls are accepted and ended using controls on the front face of the radio.

A built-in microphone keeps the whole system self-contained within the radio unit. Once a call is accepted, it is routed through two new high-performance speakers. The call volume is easily adjusted using the radio volume control.

For those who prefer to choose their own music, MP3 and WMA music files can be played either directly from a music player using the auxiliary input socket or played from a USB memory stick.

And actually hearing the music won’t be a problem.  With the T6000 in-cab noise level  as low as 70 dB(A), and the T7000 setting the industry’s lowest noise level at just 69 dB(A),  there should be little to disturb you as you listen to your favourite tunes or make that important phone call while you work.
