With a chemical manufacturing history of over half a century the Billingham site has seen considerable change during its lifetime, with growth, development and regeneration all key themes into the Millennium.

Home to a number of 'famous' names, the Billingham site is around 400 acres in size and suitable for all forms of chemical manufacturing activity and offers excellent access to UK seas, rail and road networks. Many ships serve the Tees with worldwide destinations and the area is well populated with storage tank capability. In addition the area is well serviced with specialist chemical, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering expertise and resource.

Many of the processes on the site centre on the production of methane based chemicals and are served by a range of utilities & site services provided by Terra Nitrogen (U.K.) Limited.
