Grazed
Grass
Grazed grass is the
cheapest form of feed for ruminant livestock and yet it is often taken
for granted and under-utilised. High levels of production are possible
from well managed swards and this can be effectively converted to milk
or meat by the modern dairy cow or beef animal. Kingshay Farming Trust
has regularly proved the value and cost effectiveness of grass in profitable
systems.
